Elements are alloyed to achieve different properties such as strength, malleability, durability, tarnish-resistance and sometimes just color preference. This beautiful necklace is of the best quality. I love it. I wish it had been packed in a box inside the bubble envelope. My necklace was unharmed, but the bubble envelope was rolled over or stepped on, as well as a small rip near the top.
